Uncle Sam
tobanicus, If you really feel this way about the country, stick to your guns and try to convince your fellows of the same. I'd suggest only that you don't hem yourself in to a particular set of ideas or worldview. Keep your eyes and mind open. Obama, for example, will have to earn my vote again in '12 by his actions and work in office. I'll be watching carefully and drawing my own conclusions from the facts of the next four years. You should too. As for Uncle Sam (and as a citizen) I firmly reject the idea that any particular national symbol is sacrosanct. I pay them all due respect as a serviceman, but in art, at least, modifying any such symbol is completely acceptable.

Free Speech
I am not so sure you buddy BO stands for free speech when it comes down to it. The more left we move it seems the more things we cannot say. It's the left, where BO stands firm, that is continuously trying, and sadly succeeding, to change America. I believe America is a wonderful country. I'm proud of our forefathers. They sacrificed a lot for a free country. We were a country of opportunity. Now we are fast becoming a country who punishes those who succeed while rewarding those that don't (many through pure laziness and sense of entitlement). That's not free and it's certainly not encouraging citizens to find an opportunity and capitalize on it. If people don't like what America was built on and for, then there are MANY other countries with different values and governments to which they can move. As for being a veteran and on active duty - thank you for fighting for this country - and those that we help while asking for only friendship in return. I have nothing but for respect for a man/woman who will offer their time to be a part of our great military....which may soon dwindle down leaving us helpless with BO and far left Senate and House in office. As for voting - you bet your @$$ I voted....and I'm sure you can guess who I voted for.... I just don't get why you had to mess with Uncle Sam. Why can't some things just be conserved as is because the meaning and history are so great?? Why do they take Lincoln's face off the penny and replace it with BO? Or Grant off the $50 replaced by BO? Do you really not see anything wrong with that?

Patriotism
tobanicus, As an Iraq War veteran and a still-serving active duty Army NCO, I'll just sit back and appreciate your right to say whatever you want in a public forum about the image I used in my product, its history, and its meaning. I'm happy to do my part in continuing to provide you that liberty. PLEASE! If you hate it here (now), and hate our history (especially with regards to the right of free speech) - VOTE.

Where is the Patriotism??
Why do all of you BO supporters think it's okay to deface so much of our history?? The penny....the $50 bill...and now Uncle Sam? PLEASE! If you hate it here, and hate our history - LEAVE. We won't miss you.
