Big Guy had some un-American ideas once upon a time. One Sunday after church driving along in the truck why a tune was playing “Amazing Grace.” Nice little tune, it just stuck and man oh man he could not get that tune outta of his head and he asked around about this song “Amazing Grace” couldn’t get an answer. The following Sunday the choir was singing “Amazing Grace” howdy and of course he just could not help himself and started singing right along. Well he loved that song and as he was walking outta church the pastor said “Big Guy glad to hear you joined right in signing Amazing Grace, it is a song of repentance.” Of course Big Guy was looking forward to getting some grub at the Colonels and was like very hungry and the service was over he did his time at church for the week. The pastor knew Big Guy had some notions and you know those that serve God and their fellow man just love to preach. So as ministers and servants of God you can’t stop them. “Big Guy here is a short explanation about Amazing Grace. There was an English sea Captain John Newton, who participated in the slave trade and was very successful until he had an epiphany in his heart and mind and with the help of God penned this song of repentance and hope. Big Guy there is more to the story and the song but that pretty much sums it up. The Cherokee nation uses it as an anthem as well as those that have found the Way or a way to repent from some bad behavior. And Big Guy we have sung this song many a times.” Find out about the story and the song “Amazing Grace” just click and search it on the WWW it couldn’t hurt.
