The Catholic church has prooven to fall very much between all party lines when it comes to polotics. Jesus after all started only one church on Earth that church being Catholicism. He believed in helping the poor and those who are in misfortune, but he was also supportive of the government, the economy, and necassary fighting. Jesus reffered to God as a patriarch, and supported the acustomed male dominated society. Jesus believed there were things suited to different sexes, and he believed in hierarchy, ritual, and the power of God through men. Jesus also ingouraged people to give of themselves to others, and to take care of the needy. Jesus values can not be placed on any political party.
