Describes themself as: I graduated with a B.A. in Art from the University of Idaho, in 1997. I've always loved to create art for others, and share my love of painting and design with the world. My dream is to write and illustrate children's books. I have plenty of inspiration for my work, as my husband and I have 7 children, ranging in age from 6-20. There's never a dull moment at our house, to say the least!
Personal Interests: My family, my husband, Jay, and our 7 children, movies, music, chocolate, baking, learning about people and their different cultures and languages, traveling, and anything that involves art of any kind. I live for movies and music! A studio that isn't filled with your favorite tunes playing in the background while you're working, just wouldn't be the studio for me! I love everything from movie soundtracks like Ledgends of the Fall or a little Mozart playing, to U2 and John Denver. I work a lot better when I'm in the mood to create. (don't we all?) Putting on a CD of my own mix provides tons of inspiration! I could listen to Christmas music like Bing or Nat King Cole all year 'round. When my kids are at school and the house is quiet, I find that this is the best time to unwind and let the ideas flow!
Artistic Interests: I love drawing for children, designing with photoshop, and painting murals! My favorite thing to do is doodle cartoon characters in my sketch books. Man! Every time I look at something like the clouds, textured walls or marble tile, they just jump right out at me! I also love painting with acrylics and water colors. Creating original designs unlike anyone has ever created before me, is what keeps me going! I know I'm one-of-a-kind just like my characters are! It's GOOD! :-)
