Laurie McGinley

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Laurie and I’m an artist working mostly in graphite these days. I call my work A Sense of Place and Personality because what I am attracted to drawing are works which conveys a sense of a place or story or moment in time. For my animals the personality of an animal, its special character is what I love to try to capture. Primarily I’m an animal artist; dogs, horses, and the wildlife of the American West. I’m also drawn to landscapes and subjects that resonate with me, such as the mountains of Wyoming and Montana and the history and beauty of Ireland.
