For a season in my life, I stopped caring about politics and current events - because I felt no connection between my concerns / votes and the actions of our political leaders. Once I resumed reading the news, listening to NPR, and thinking about the injustices in our Nation, my "hell has no fury like a woman scorned" self re-emerged. For me, now more than ever, I feel an urgency to be outspoken and involved in the political process in tangible ways. For starters.... let's show our power and pride: I'm a Lesbian.
