Describes themself as: In 1980 I came to the US as all other Americans did - as an immigrant to a new land searching for hope and hoping for freedom. At the age of 4 I was forced to leave my entire family behind in order to flee from a war torn country - VietNam. My family made that decision for me. My story of escape is a long - too long for this format - but interesting one. Let's just say I have lived a life time of experience by the time I was four having been caught by the VC's and placed in their prison camp during my first effort out of the country. Then the second voyage landed me onto another "prison" of sourt - a Thai Refugee camp where I lived within a strict compound for over 8 months. The imprisonment, voyage at sea, and refugee life can each be a telling tail all on their own. However, those stories are only a small part of my life. They by no means define me. I made my way through life by working at a very very young age - and continued working throughout my entire life. I graduated HS with honors and finished college with a mechanical engineering degree. I've been an engineer for NASA through out my young career so far - designing new instruments for the Hubble Telescope, as well as other satelites both foreign and domestic. My interests are many. My dislikes are few. I truly believe in two things - "don't knock it till you've tried it." and as for life - "you should get busy living or get busy dying." The important things in my life are God. Friends and Family. I believe that no matter what life situation we are in, no matter what life strips from us, God will always provide for us the necessary tools so that we can dig ourselves out of the devil's grips of depression and self pity. But - we have to be willing to look for those tools and make an effort to heal.
Personal Interests: I'm never very good at answering these types of questions because really, life is full of so many wonders and beauty. With each breath we take there's always something new waiting for us to "breath in" Having said that, what then is there in/of life for me not to like be it good or bad?

The truth is, I like too many things and can't make up my mind which of my personal interests should be deem more important to list it here for the public of our world (and those who visit this site) to know.

Artistic Interests: My artistic interests include - music, art, poetry, and photography. For music composers I enjoy: Beethoven & Mozart. For modern artists I like: Van Gogh, Goghan & Monet. For poets, I enjoy reading the works of Donne, Frost, and Poe even though he is more known for his short stories then he is for his poetry. Then finally, in the world of photography I think Michael Kahn captures with his camera what words often can't describe. This I feel is the definition of an artist, a musician, a poet ... So I guess you can say, I kinda like Michael Kahn's picture work. :). But these are just a few names out of my long list of favorites. God has blessed many in this world with great talents I feel lucky to have been able to study or read about the lives of a few of these geniuses.
