I have always loved to create, and I have found that my journey has taken me along many diverse pathways in life, that have helped me learn about who I am and why I am here. Being able to be creative has always been a wonderful tool to express myself with line and colour. Most of my work is representational from people, things or scenes that have inspired me. I love to look at others work and learn.

I have had many solo exhibitions as well as exhibiting with other artists and have won quite a few awards, one being 1st Prize for Silk painting at the Royal Melbourne Show.

I run a small business from home called Light into Colour, teaching art, painting and selling silk scarves, fabric, dyes, gutta and brushes also original art pieces and may be contacted for any information via my zazzle mail.

I have been married for 39 years and have 4 wonderful divine children, and a Grandmother of four. My family means the world to me and I am proud to say my daughter Pip is also an artist and you can view her wonderful work at www.zazzle.com/pip_gerard
