Anyone who had studied paleontology for any length of time knows that it doesn't take much to upset the delicate balance of oxygen, nitrogen, and co2 that makes up a "good" climate. It's just a simple fact that as you introduce more of one gas into the atmosphere, you upset the existing balance, and human beings are producing a lot of co2. It may not ultimately result in a super-hot planet, but it will bring certain change. As fossil records show us, whenever there is a significant shift the chemistry of our atmosphere, lots of creatures die. Weather patterns shift, storms become more severe or rains cease to fall, parts of the world freeze over or cook, plants die out, the animals that depend on them starve, and the entire ecosystem collapses. It's very easy to deny responsibility for the effect you have on the world around you, but remember that nothing is so small that it doesn't have influence.

Maybe polar bears are just overrated, I mean what does it matter if we lose another species, right? What does it matter that outside my window, in the mountains of Colorado in October ,it is still 80 degrees outside? Anyone who doesn't believe that man has contributed to climate change needs to get a reality check. You are uneducated! Do a little research and you will find that our carbon emmissions have contributed significantly to climate change.
