Arrived on time and well packed. A bit expensive for my taste so I won't add a frame anytime soon, but I hope to some day. Fits very nicely on a big white wall, next to pictures I took. Gets the attention of my photography/design friends.
i didn't want the default $50 one. that would've been too big of a poster. i chose extra small, so the sizes are to scale. i didn't choose the size descriptions like 8x10 because the previews showed some parts cut off. this was a valentine's gift for my boyfriend who likes photography. i think it's more unique and meaningful than just "here's jewelry/clothes/whatever for you" it was mailed flat, with really thick/sturdy packaging instead of rolled up, which was really appreciated.
Some reviews say theirs came and parts were missing due to enlargement or reduction of size. I ordered the 4x6 and it is perfect! I can see everything and read it clearly plus it fits in my camera bag so I cam bring it with me for reference. At that size, it was under $20 which I think is quite affordable.
The pricing is fair to me, but what is very disappointing is that I ordered an 8 X 10 photo, and the whole top and bottom of the artwork is cropped off so it is pretty worthless. Now I see that the fine print warns of this, but who would think that you would order a print that wouldn't include all of the art?
I saw this poster on a few photo blogs and I love it. I can't wait to put it up in my office. To all you complaining about the price: this is not just some run-of-the-mill cute kitten poster. It is a beautifully designed work of art and the price is very much in line with other work of its caliber. And, if you bothered to search for a zazzle coupon, you would have gotten it at a reduced price, like I did.
I think this is a great attractive way to display the camera settings.. Even if you know them its still nice to look at it. Unfortunately we have to fight with mass production and china's low wages as a selling factor. Your honest hard work doesnt matter to some people. The amount of hours you put into design, the thought process, and the time and/or cost of advertising should be taken into account! But can you buy it at ChinaMart for 10 bucks? If you compete with a big box store you will always lose! Set your prices as you see fit for your work! Happy Sales!
You're paying for his artistic talent, design hours, and the fees zazzle tacks on (but if it weren't zazzle; it'd be accounting for another avenue/cost of business --"marketing/distributing yourself" still "costs".)
kudos to him for respecting himself enough to charge what he feels is worth it for him to continue (+ especially at such a young age- 18)
It's commendable to give yourself worth and recognize that the buyer isn't simply paying for the physical cost of the poster paper... If you think you are, then make the damn thing yourself (or head to Walmart and pick up that $10 poster after all)
Miguel, keep up the beautiful work. it's worth every penny and I look forward to seeing where your career heads...
I absolutely love this. The colors are beautiful and the information is great. I wish this came in a wallet size too. Id even pay $20-25 for it because I do understand that the owner is not asking much since they are not the only person getting paid for it! However, its not useful to me on my wall 100% of the time.
I'm sorry you feel that way, but I've set a royalty on this poster that I feel is fair for me as the artist, considering the amount of work I put into this poster. It's not so easy to come up with infographics. It's not just the poster you're paying for, it's the information on it. I made sure to make this poster informative and presentable at the same time. I hope you understand.
