Charles Marion Russell’s painting “Slick Rider”. Charles Marion Russell was a prolific artist of the American west. He painted Indians, Cowboys and western landscapes. Russell was a well known painter in Montana by the time he was thirty. He did not travel much and it is mostly through the hard work of his wife, Nancy, who set up his many shows throughout the United States that he became known to collectors world wide.
