Masterpiece Dogs - Dogs Inserted Into Famous Art

Welcome to Masterpiece Dogs where images of purebred dogs are inserted into some of the greatest masterpieces of the world.
This idea of putting dogs into famous art originated back in 2001 after I had been doing my own dog designs for a couple years (was blessed to be featured in a book called Decorative Painting for Fun and Profit by Susan Young). I would print out my designs, affix them on various products and then paint them in dimensional paint. But I loved the idea of being able to offer these beautiful paintings with someone's favorite breed too. So I started with Mona Lisa by Da Vinci and Starry Night by Van Gogh and expanded from there to include Monet's Lily paintings, the romantic masterpieces by John W. Waterhouse, the enchanting "Midsummer's Eve" by Edward Robert Hughes, just to name a few.
So if you want to find a unique and special gift for yourself or a friend, I think you've come to the right place. Certainly no one can ever accuse you of poor taste if you choose one of these gifts. Some of the most popular artwork in the world has now become a backdrop for your favorite breed or the one you're looking for (just ask if you don't see your breed here).

Thanks for all your wonderful comments! I wish it was my art, but all of the backgrounds, excluding the dog(s) were created by famous artists. Admittedly this has taken years of work for me, but still, without those brilliant artists, there would be no design per se.
