I have enjoyed photography for as long as I can remember, but I did not get seriously into it until November of 2000. It was then that I received my first Canon 35mm SLR film camera as a birthday gift. A whole new world of adventure opened up and my photographic journey began.
I did not have any formal training in the area of photography, so I started reading books, magazines, and searching the internet to increase my knowledge on how to take that perfect photo. In 2003 I signed up for an at home photography course through the New York Institute of Photography. Through videos, course materials, photo assignments and critiquing from professional photographers at the institute, I was on my way to improving my photography. I received my Certificate of Graduation in Professional Photography in April of 2006. I now use a Canon 5D & Canon 5D Mark III camera with a Canon 28-135mm IS and 100-400mm IS lens.
Although I photograph a wide variety of subjects, such as pets, people, and scenic's, medical and fire, my favorite subject to photograph is wildlife. The joy and satisfaction that comes from observing and photographing wildlife is like no other that I can explain.
