Mexican Striped Owl Mouse Mats

On the grounds of Dalhousie Castle, which sets on the banks of the River Esk just south of Edinburgh, they have a wonderful Falconry programme. It was my youngest son's special treat whilst we were in the area. This little guy was quite the conversationalist. He seemed to be very interested in telling us all about what was happening at the Centre. If we had only been fluent in Owl, perhaps we would have better understood. This is a Mexican Striped owl. They are one of the few species of owls who will roost communally in one tree.

Mexican Striped Owl
I loooove wildlife and this owl is awesome-you really captured all his beauty and uniqueness. No wonder I was lucky 13 to rate it.
