The Purpose of the MLD Foundation
Our Articles of Incorporation states our three-fold purpose:
To develop resources for families affected by Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) by developing and providing a means of communication & connection, and by providing medical, educational, advocacy, resource, and physical support.
To develop and provide tools and methods to the medical and education communities to help them understand, diagnose, refer, treat, and eventually find a cure for MLD.
To leverage our foundation’s strengths while complementing the strengths of other foundations and organizations that share similar or overlapping goals.
