Vintage illustration by Blanche Fisher Wright. Appeared in "The Peter Patter Book of Nursery Rhymes" by Leroy F. Jackson, published in 1918 and now in Public Domain.
A few books that Ms. Wright illustrated have been brought back into print, such as "The Original Mother Goose" and you can find them now on Amazon.com. This is one of the "lost" treasures that has not been brought back.
Many of the verses would not fit in modern culture and some would even be unacceptable, but the artwork is still beautiful and should be out there for all to enjoy.
