An artist who fragments the world around us and presents them in small frames to capture moments that are often overlooked.
Mui-Ling Teh is a passionate and self-taught artist. Aside from origami she also enjoy drawing, painting, photography, and various forms of craft. The name “Tiny Treasures” was one which her friend from RedBubble Karin Taylor came up with based on her origami creations. However the name is one Mui-Ling sees applicable to all her work; everything she does either captures a piece of the big world in a small frame, or is a small fragment from the great big world.
"Here I present the creator and the creation where the crane is framed by my fingers forming a circle. We can only understand size, fragility and significance when we compare two things. When we think, for example, how big the world is, we’re like tiny little specks of sand, or even atoms, to the eyes of a God holding the earth in his palm." - Mui-Ling Teh
