Hubble photograph of the Necklace nebula
This photograph of the Necklace nebula was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in July 2011. This nebula is a ring-shape, and measures 12 trillion miles in width. The bright white spots are the result of glowing gaseous areas. The Necklace nebula is situated 15,000 light years from Earth, in the Sagitta constellation.
