A symbol of meditation on the sensation of energy

This work was done from photographs taken before Katrina floods destroyed the gardens. I painted it a year later while learning to sense minute energies with the owl as a totem study. The statue is a reflection of my meditation pose while concentrating of fluxes of minute energy changes resonating in the bones near optic nerves of the eye and seeing them in darkness much as the owl does. It is profound experiencing these sensation in times of solitude and meditation. This practice enabled me to learn to see the flow (or blockage) spinal energy in someones back during massage or healing.
