Nickelville Road
Somewhere off the beaten path between Lavon and Burleson, Texas you'll find Nickelville Road. With tight vocals and amazing string work to back it up, Nickelville Road has been called the result of Blue Highway crossing Lonesome River Band.
Nickelville Road can trace their influences back to the early days Bluegrass, when Bill Monroe, Lester and Earl, and the king himself, Jimmy Martin, were in their heyday.
Proudly carrying on the tradtion of that high lonesome sound, yet carefully avoiding becoming stuck in a time warp, the band is equally at home in the modern era of Bluegrass, leaning heavily on works by Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice, Blue Highway, and the Lonesome River Band, to name but a few.
