No More Child Soldiers T-Shirt by inamar
Against the use of child soldiers: "No more child soldiers, stop the manipulation of innocence". This children's rights' / awareness design refers to military recruitment of children (especially African children). Child soldiers fight in the ranks of rebel groups but also in the ranks of the government army. Thousands of children (7 to 18 years old) are currently being used as soldiers in armed conflicts in conflict-torn regions. Young children are FORCED TO KILL. Among the obvious dangers of children participating in war (killed children, disabled children, children separated from their parents), child combattants are PSYCHOLOGICALLY TRAUMATIZED for life. In 2007, child soldiers were found in the following regions: Afghanistan, Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Cote d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Liberia, Myanmar/Burma, Nepal, Philippines, Republic of Congo, Russia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Uganda, Yemen. The order is alphabetical and does not correspond to the extension of the problem - most child soldiers are found in Africa.
*Dashed line denotes design area and will not appear on the actual shirt.
