Obey! T Shirts by badmonkey
This is Bad Monkey's parody of the world-famous street art campaign distributed by the skater community starting in 1986. The stickers began showing up in nearly every big city across the nation. Later, when the creator was a design student, he released his manifesto. At the time he declared the campaign to be "an experiment in phenomenology." Over time the artwork has been reused in a number of ways and has become a world-wide movement.
The essential appeal of the campaign is its parody of propaganda, both political and corporate, that permeates modern American culture. The placement of this classic urban art resembles an advertising campaign, a campaign for a non-existent product.
This is the Bad Monkey Crew's homage to one of the most influential, worldwide propaganda campaigns. Once again, graffiti proves to be a powerful medium!

*Dashed line denotes design area and will not appear on the actual shirt.
