Orangutan & Jungle Wildlife Extinction T-Shirt
About "BORNeo FREE"
This is Teddy, a 5yr old Orangutan from Borneo. Behind him the Indonesian sun rises through Jungle leaves and a new day of forest survival begins. A fabulous new Orangutan design on behalf of the OFI fundraising cause.
Orangutans occur in only two places in the World, the island of Borneo and the island of Sumatra, both in Indonesia. They are rare and beautiful and under severe threat from the activities of humans, e.g. forest\habitat destruction from housing and palm-oil plantation operations, poaching, illegal smuggling to private zoos etc. etc. Their numbers are extremely low and if nothing is done to help protect them immediately, extinction is a very real prospect in only a few years time. Please help by supporting our products and\or by making direct donations to the OFI official site (http://www.orangutan.org/). Credit card and Paypal options are available there.
100% of royalties earned from every sale of this gorgeous Orangutan gift item, is donated to the dedicated group headed by Dr Birute Mary Galdikas, Orangutan Foundation International at: http://www.orangutan.org/
OFI Mission Statement excerpt: "...The mission of the Orangutan Foundation International is to support the conservation, protection, and understanding of orangutans and their rain forest habitat while caring for ex-captive orangutan orphans as they make their way back to the forest.
Furthermore, OFI educates the public, school children, and governments about orangutans, tropical rain forests, and the issues surrounding orangutan and forest conservation and protection..."
Thanks for caring about our rainforest citizens, the Orangutans!
