This wildlife orphan was born to be wild, but was rescued by the Care Center on the island of Borneo after being stolen from her mother for the illegal pet trade. This poster features a photograph taken by my husband, and it shows how desperate the orangutan babies at the Indonesian Care Center are for reassurance from their human caregivers.
One hundred percent of the artist's profits from the sale of this item are donated for the care of these orphans.
The poster features an original poem by Rebecca Reeder :
Oh little orphaned, forest child,
God made you to live free and wild;
I'm here to help you grow up strong
And get you back where you belong
Among rainforest trees and vines.
'Til then, you're safe here, like you're mine.
