Punish the DEED, not the BREED Bumper Stickers

The fact that Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah has been able to rehabilitate so many of the abused Michal Vick dogs is testament to the fact that it is the people making dogs mean and not the breed. Think of all the tiny dogs that people think are so cute, and they can be the most likely to nip and bite, bu because they are tiny, people just laugh-- and are able to push them away.

did not do this...people did this to them. Just like guns don't kill...people do.

Thank you so much for doing something like this. My brother has 2 pit bulls and they are 2 of the sweetest and most loving dogs. They're very precious and people just don't get it.

Just wanted to say how much I love all the stuff your doing regarding the issue of dog fighting. We just recently (this past September) adopted the newest member of our family from our local shelter. Her name is Samantha and she is a one year old Border Collie/Black Lab mix. She is a beautiful & wonderful dog but what depressed me so badly about the whole experience was that almost every other dog in this shelter, and it was pretty full, was some form of a Pit Bull. Many of them just as lovable and sweet as could be. But I'm afraid the number of them in there indicates an ugly truth in why they were there and no other breed. There was this one Pit named Jayne that I desperately wanted to adopt but it's getting difficult to get Homeowners Insurance with certain breeds. I kept checking on her and found out that she went to a good loving home just a few days after we got our Sammi, but I still have nightmares about all the others left behind. I just don't understand how people can get excited and enjoy watching any kind of cruelty, let alone one that is taught to an otherwise sweet and lovable pet. A pet who asks for nothing more than acceptance and bit of love in return for their unwavering loyalty, protection and unconditional love. Please keep up the good, no GREAT, work. All my best....
