Putucusi Mountain Ladder:

This is the largest ladders found on Putucusi mountain in Aguas Caliented (Machu Picchu Pueblo) Peru.
Putucusi mountain provides a different view of the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu Peru. The climb is difficult, especially in the rainy season because there are numerous wooden ladders to ascend. With the rain, the trail becomes muddy and ladders become very slick.
The first part of the climb is nestled in jungle trees and palms and then you emerge into sunlight for the latter part where the heat and rays will scorch your neck should you not have enough sunscreen on.
Putucusi is one of my favorite mountain climbs because of the surrounding nature foliage and then the wonderful, indescribable reward of the view across to Machu Picchu.
