Strange Breed Lesbian Pulp Fiction Cover
Strange Breed was written by Aldo Lucchesi in 1960. It's a story about women who can't get what they need from men. This is one of the first lesbian pulp fiction novels. These vintage paperback covers represent the crack in the closet door. This book and others like it were, for some, the only clue that there were other women in the world like them. Most were written portraying lesbians as tragic figures who ended up dead or in jail for being who they were.
