Rebel Flag Heritage Hate Stickers

When people start to actualy learn to read history, and not just repeat what they have think they have learned from others, maybe things may change a bit. There is a lot of great history out there on the War and this flag. Some will always use this, or something else, to promote their own idology, evil and otherwise. Just as some people have abused various Christian teachings, to thier own evil, sick and perverted ends. I have always tried to teach my own children, it is never the 'symbol' but the person using that symbol, and to what ends. I believe your students are lucky to have you as a teacher. As a teacher who had to take away a piece of art after an uproar in class (and that just killed me) over this, I just wish that more people understood what you're saying here. I could even get in trouble for writing this; yet, it is, in most cases, what you're stating. In some cases, of course, it isn't, but even that goes to show that before people jump to conclusions, they need to consider the individual source the same as they would like to be considered as an individual rather than stereotyped. I like your sticker and sentiment. I've lived all over, but I'm Southern born and Southern bred !
