An amazing red hibiscus bloom fills most of the frame of the photograph. The blossom was the size of a salad plate. Raindrops cover the petals. Shallow depth of field highlights the unusual pistil and stamen formation. Five round, dark red, fuzzy stigmas atop styles curve backwards at the end of the flower's central column which is covered with small yellow stamens. Behind the Fireball Hibiscus in the upper right corner, out-of-focus, tall, green grasses provide color contrast.
