Renoir's Acrobats at the Cirque Fernando (1879) Two-Tone Coffee Mug
A classic artwork that has passed into the public domain and makes wonderful gifts and other products. Scene of two young girl jugglers or acrobats at the circus. This piece is also variously known as "Jugglers at the Cirque Fernando " or "The Jugglers" or "The Acrobats." The girls (Francisca and Angelina Wartenberg) are gathering and holding oranges, which rather than being juggling props are said to be treats thrown to them by an appreciative audience. Pierre-Auguste Renoir was one of the founders of the Impressionist movement. A very prolific painter, he painted scenes from French life as well as a lot of images of his family. All of our products are made with large scale images that have been carefully edited to provide the best resolution, color and detail possible.
