The Liberty Movement is the quintessence of grassroots activism in America. Peculating in the mid 2000's, by 2007 with the help of social media on the internet, the movement of formerly ignored, and purposefully framed-out began to organize, speak out, and rapidly change the debate about what sort of country America was going to be from that point forward.
The Ron Paul campaign of 2008 was the spark. People from all backgrounds came together to stand athwart the established power structure. War-weary soldiers, newly-unemployed workers, mothers, college students, and even grandparents understanding that the future of American society was on a suicidal path of debt, war, and social decay. Then the financial meltdown of 2008 happened. The American Dream had turned into a nightmare.
This was the atmosphere from which the original incarnation of this design came. It was an America with a fist rising from it, clinching a flower, held together by the roots permeating through it and driving deep below it.
The design was an instant success for us with those people we identified with most. Soon after we began offering it, we received images of people wearing it on shirts at rallies and protests. We were even deeply flattered by pictures of the design made into tattoos worn prominently on people's bodies..
We figured it was time to do a new version. This time, with the fist unclenched, raising two fingers to show the Love Revolution is not only the epitome of grassroots, but a fundamentally peaceful movement that strives to make a better world for all of us.
