It's as American as apple pie to prey on those who pray. Laughably transparent piety is embraced by simpletons showering donations and faith. But charlatan evangelists often go too far and make headlines. When they're exposed for abusing sex and money, someone commemorates with a bumper sticker. Sue Collins thought up "Evangelists do more than lay people" when Jim Bakker and his PTL Club were exposed in a 1987 sex scandal. Puckish Tendencies (me) published a nationally advertised bumper sticker instantly pirated. Dallas Magazine honored us for "Bumper Sticker of the Year." Huzzah Huzzah
