The Osborne computer was the first portable, actually a luggable. Designed by Adam Osborne in 1981, it weighed 24.5 lbs and cost $1795. It spawned computer clubs across the country which spread the concept of freeware. This mousepad was designed by the Freeware Hall of Fame.
