Open the Door to Your Soul - Sight is a bright, colorful collage that opens the door to the soul and inner vision. This image looks deep within and allows you to look within yourself.

Sight is a paper and paint collage that gazes directly at one with great insight and compassion. The woman’s purple face is created with pieces of orchid and lavender collaged together. Many of the pieces of paper in Sight are from flower images, which enhances its delicacy. The eyes are a deep teal and Phthalo green with cyan and teal eyebrows and a piercing rose where eyes are usually white. The nose and mouth are fuchsia, magenta and pink. These three bright pink parts of the face create an intense facial structure.

Just above and between the eyes is a lotus flower in soft carnation to shocking pink. When I was creating this collage, I didn’t even notice at first that I had put a lotus flower in the Third Eye position. The lotus flower symbolizes awareness and growth. The Third Eye is connected to perception, awareness and inner vision. Clearly my soul was directing me in this creation. This collage is actually created from an image of me.

Her hair is teal, turquoise, Persian and French rose. One side gracefully hangs down while the other side of her hair flows and mixes into the background. Throughout her hair and the side of her face there are pieces of paper with flowers on them that add another dimension of connection to the Earth. Swirls of rose, indigo, teal and Robin egg blue flash through a background of magenta, ultramarine, cobalt blue, deep pink and navy blue. White and rose pink pierce this vibrant and alive setting.
