Sutphen aspires to explore on American life as well as new cultures. Born in 1977 in Anchorage Alaska, Sutphen loves to experience the majestic aspects of nature. The underground artist practices ironic detachment in a peaceful and mysterious world. Drawn to natural contours. The results are reflected in his provocative, sometimes humorous, and curious body of work. Sutphen sells his paintings by word of mouth and exhibits out of his home in Malibu California.
