First off...calling it socialized health care is a bit of a misnomer. Socialism is the public ownership (by the people) of the means of production. Last time I checked, I'm not more apart of the government as you are, and If the health care bill passes, I won't own anymore of the health care sector than you will. Nationalization has almost nothing to do with socialism, if you take into account the ownership of means of production. A socialist would never bail out a bank, for banks are where the bourgeois lie. Giving them more power to control the proletariat is something socialism would never advocate. Now, you can cite any cultures you want that have claimed to be socialist, but as any leftist (that has read any kind of leftist literature at all), those cultures were NEVER anything near what they claimed to be. China, USSR, North Korea, etc. China was/is state capitalist, USSR was state capitalist, North Korea is a necrocracy. Say whatever you want, but Obama isn't anything but a welfare capitalist. If he does anything remotely resembling leftism, I'll let you know.

For the State Capitolist to manage core economic pilars isn't saying much for what we learned from the National Socialism of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Socialism established in the U.S.S.R. which given the current conditions, should startle any student of history.
