Beautiful day on Liberty island, weather was really cooperating... Look at the seagull at the corner of the pedistal (see magnification and supersize view). I am a sucker for patriotic, symbolic photography. I guess I have seen a lot.. My mother is (or I should say was, prior to citazenship) East German... I have seen communism at it's height, travelled extensively abroad.... I feel very blessed to live here and be born here... especially to live here, the east coast... at true melting pot and full of our country's history.... OK enough....
