Stickle Sampler Quilt, owned by the Bennington Museum, includes 225 distinct patterns and 5,602 individual pieces! It was made in 1863 by a young woman who dreamed up this purposefully complex quilt in order to keep herself busy while several family members were away fighting in the Civil War. We fit as many of the sampler blocks as possible on this beautiful case.
The image is used with permission of the Bennington Museum and a royalty from each sale will go to the museum in support of its operations.
