I just made a similar shirt, and I feel exactly as you do. The ACLU (I think) are the ones who twist wording in the Constitution around. The Constitution clearly states that the government CANNOT prohibit the exercise of practicing one's religion, so I feel schools should allow kids to be able to bring their Bibles or whatever (as I'm open to allowing any religious person to practice his/her belief, no matter what it is), as long as it doesn't disrupt class time. And to comment on the first comment, he does have a point. Reading the Bible (and going directly on how Jesus said we should live), most Republicans, by the standards He set, live life almost the opposite of that. Jesus is for helping the poor, against wars, against mixing politics and religion, and against greed (He wants us to help the poor and giving away what you have to them. Spreading of wealth? Almost sounds like a socialist to me, yet, it's always the Republicans who are called the "religious right"). A lot of Democrats are no different either.

The 1st Amendment actually reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. " The "... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." portion seems to always get ignored by non-"Rightwing-nuts" As I suggest, try actually reading the Constitution.

congress shall make no law establishing a religion. You have the right to worship but you don't have the right to push your fake right wingnut misinterpretation of jesus on others using government. Jesus never said that government should not take care of the poor. Yes I realize you twist that give unto caesar what belongs to caeser junk to attempt to justify it.
