Impossible to get out of, Impossible to walk away from
We're pulled and tugged by the masses to perform
And yet that same pull contorts our bodies and our minds
Why do we continue to spin the ribbon? Why do we continue to perform?
To please other while we ourselves are bound
It is this need to satisfy the masses' wicked eyes
That keeps us hanging helpless in their pull
This is why we never stop performing...even when the ribbon disintegrates and burns.
