The Mayan calendar contains all it's cycles with the last cycle ending in December 2012. Some interpret it in a way that sounds like the world would end on the 21st December 2012.
But what if they were off by a few years?!
The last day of the Mayan was set for the Winter Solstice day in December which is an important day for many cultures all over the world.
This calendar can be traced back to pre-Columbian Central America to around 2000 BC and was developed even further by
the Mayans into the 16th century.
The Mayan calendar is still in use by some of the Maya today!
