Tibetan Buddhist prayer flags strung at a religious site near the Main Temple of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet. Prayer flags are hung as high as possible in order for the prayers they contain to disperse over longer distances. This scene is in McleodGanj, also known as Upper Dharamsala, a hill station in the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas. It is the seat of the Dalai lama and home to several thousand Tibetan refugees. Original travel photography by Tammy Winand. Support for Tibet carries views of many Tibetan Buddhist sites. All proceeds go towards the artist's expenses volunteering in Tibetan exile communities in India & Nepal.
