Timeless Table for Two... Card

....this is a lovely shot of a life-size, outdoor bronze sculpture featuring two ornate chairs situated on either side of a table holding an antiqued brass book with the title 'Browns Park' engraved on it's cover... Beautiful, lush greenery & exotic flowering plants, in an array of vibrant colors, run the length of this narrow alleyway-like garden. The high walls & elaborate entrance - constructed with the actual bricks of the original early 1900's structure - have a magical cobblestone appearance... Because the original home was destroyed by El Nino storm waves in 2002, the land was dedicated to the city of Laguna by Joe Brown, grandson of the initial owner. Today, Browns Park stands as a loving reminder of the grand beach-front Brown family home that once nobly stood at 551 S Coast Blvd in the heart of Laguna Beach. A poem engraved on a plaque on one wall - written by Joe Brown's father some 40 years ago - reads as follows: Browns Park ~ A Legacy ~ Let me live in a house by the side of the sea, Where men and women wander by, Where there's beauty and grace and excitement that's free, On the beach in the sun let me lie. Let me listen to the ocean's melodious roar and it's rhythm, So soothing to hear, As the foam-covered waves seem to reach for the shore, Under skies that are sunny and clear....... Joseph E. Brown
