TOTEM FLIGHT ~ Photo Poster
by RavenSpiritPrints
Bald Eagle & Raven photography by Skye Ryan-Evans
A Raven harrassed a Bald Eagle who was making his way back to the nest and a waiting juvenile. This shot reminded me that in this part of the world (Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada), the native Haida people place the Raven at the top of the totem pole. Raven is respected and revered here as is Eagle, but Raven is considered to be the dominant Animal Totem. The angle of the photograph as both birds flew directly over my head as the sun set, reminded me of the totem positions each bird holds. An exciting few moments and one which has also inspired a painting I am currently working on. 50% of preceeds from all sales made benefits an Art For Critters charity at Defenders of Wildlife. You can visit Art for Critters at www.artforcritters.com and the charity group Defenders of Wildlife at: www.defenders.org Thank you for caring.
