This POV-Ray picture of a field of tulips was generated entirely using POV code. No modellers were used at all. The image utilises a distributed light array and 256 samples/pixel focal blur to give it that realistic feel, and took 7 weeks, 5 days, 7 hours to render on a 700MHz PIII.

I love this.

What a great shot. I think it's fantastic to have the tulips in sharp focus but then the unique identifying structure in soft focus in the background. Thus the viewer knows that this is not just "any tulip" while still leaving the focal point on the beautiful flower. Five stars!!
