Your works here are stirring up a lot of great memories - making us realize how important are the souvenirs of our terms of service: dog tags, patches, badges. We decided today after reading your reply and talking a while that we need to put that stuff in our safe deposit box for days down the road when memories will be most of what we have. Many of the military shirts for airborne units have traditionally displayed the skull and either crossbones, crossed daggers or crossed rifles, with the motto "Death From Above" ...since they arrive via parachute. Air Force security forces are devensive in nature; trained to keep foreign paratroopers, air assault (helicopter) troops, terrorists and special forces operators away from our nations aerospace resources (planes, missiles, bombs and warheads). In military jargon, the 'objective' is another word for the target. In other words, a military unit or terrorist group targeting an airfield, missile site or weapons storage area would find 'Death at the objective" when they encounter the security forces troops waiting for them.
