Van Snogh Postage Stamps
by GingerblokeThe Snow Masters Collection
Image no.7 in the Snow Masters Collection. Let's see Don McLean write a song about this one! This is a cold and frosty starry starry night. Bordering on obsession Van Gogh painted and painted and painted, filling up rooms with art that nobody was all that interested in. The man himself was an interesting case to say the least. Many physicians and psychiatrists have surmised on what went on in his mind and on what his condition was. When he painted "The Starry Night" he wasn't able to look out of any windows, it was all from memory due to the fact that he was in an asylum at Saint-Remy. I know the feeling, having just tried to paint like the great man I thought I myself was going to go mad!
