Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist artist. Some of his paintings are now among the world's best known, most popular and expensive works of art.
In 1886-87 van Gogh was in Cormon's Studio in Paris studying drawing from real nudes or from plaster casts. Just from copies of Venus (1st-2nd century bc) he made some drawings with this unformed left leg. Thanks to Claudio in Ferrara for this information.
