Vexillophile

VEXILLOPHILE means lover of flags, and is an appropriate nickname for me. I have been collecting flags since I was in the third grade, back in 1967! This lifelong passion has resulted in an in-depth knowledge of the flags of the world, not only of contemporary nations, but of nations that no longer exist, historical flags of the United States and other nations, the flags of national subdivisions. The stories and meanings behind many flags are often fascinating.


Flag designs are offered with the names of the places they represent in English, French, German, Russian, and the local language(s) of the particular flag. You will also find flags paired -- the US and other countries, countries and their states, provinces, etc., and other pairings.
