Vietnam Veterans Memorial Print
by beverlytazangelWashington, D.C.
WASHINGTON – A bouquet of roses leans against the Vietnam Veterans Memorial May 29 under the names of dozens of service members who lost their lives during the Vietnam War. Hans J.R. Lorenz stands out amongst them as his name was recently added the memorial May 17. Hans’ mother, Linda Lorenz, attended a Memorial Day ceremony May 29 where she saw his name in the black granite for the first time. The names of 58,253 American men and women who have died or remain missing after serving in Vietnam now span the length of the monument.
